Why Seaflex Air Lift Bags?
We understand the challenges of subsea lifting operations. Our parachute lifting bags have been designed and built through consultation with those on the operational front-line: divers and subsea personnel. We aim to continue growing our well-earned reputation Our aim is to remain globally recognised as the market leading manufacturer of best-in-class buoyancy bags with superb attention to the following benefits:
Fully Compliant with Industry Guidelines
We’ll deliver your Seaflex ALBs ready for immediate use with universally compliant documentation contained within their own logbooks. Seaflex parachute lifting bags are fully compliant with IMCA D-016 Revision 4. Please click here to download our Guidance Note on this subject.
Offshore Specification Materials: Durable & Traceable
Seaflex ALBs are manufactured from high-performance structural fabric and all the load-bearing components are certified and traceable back to source.
Whereas all other manufacturers of this type of equipment are primarily looking to sell their equipment, Seaflex is mainly a hire company. What this means is that, as opposed to our competitors who are reliant on repeat business over time, it is very much in the interest of Seaflex to ensure that our bags are designed as well as they can be and that they are built to last – to give us the best possible return on them within our rental fleet via intensive use over a long period of time. As the bags we sell to customers are exactly the same as those we put into our rental fleet, customers who opt to purchase from us also reap the benefit of this philosophy.
Versatility
Seaflex ALBs are immensely versatile. The single point attachment is ideal for lightening underwater static structures such as pipes and templates, or for salvaging vessels from the seabed to the surface. They are robust and highly resistant to damage even in the harshest environments. Our larger buoyancy bags can be surface towed with their under-slung load at up to 1.5 knots in moderate sea states.
Extremely Safe
Our buoyancy bags have been designed to provide the maximum amount of lift for the least overall height. All our ALBs automatically vent excess air as they ascend dynamically with their load. Their single attachment point helps keep them inherently stable, regardless of load orientation or trim. The design brings with it a wide hem, which aids swifter emptying of the bag on emergency inversion – and we are alone in the market in having tested and proven the resistance to shock loading of the inverter line attachment points with which all Seaflex ALBs are fitted.
Efficient
Our bags are also more efficiently rigged than others, saving shipping weight without compromising on materials, strength, capability or safety. We understand that time is money, especially during diving operations. Seaflex Air Lift Bags address the reality of subsea work: poor visibility, currents and surge, fatigued operators.
Off the Shelf or Made to Measure
In all likelihood, there are probably existing Seaflex Air Lift Bags, or a combination of ALBs, ideally suited to your exact subsea lifting task. But if there isn’t, then our team will draw upon their long experience in this field to design and manufacture a bag to suit your exact requirements.
